Rapid Jewelry Creating, 2 full days Monday, August 10, 2009 and Tuesday, August 11, Cindy Moore our guest teacher from Georgia, will lead us through a series of projects utilizing the rapid production possibilities of embossing, forming bracelets both synclastic and anticlastic and making dies. The possibilities are endless. You will have an opportunity to complete several bracelets and miscellaneous other projects utilizing crimping and fold forming. If you have a press in your life this class is for you. (In your studio, in your classroom, or in your dreams) In any case you will have an educational and creative workshop. Texture, pattern and form bracelets using a variety of tools such as the rolling mill and hydraulic press. If you have textured metal that you have prepared in the other classes bring them. Bring hand tools (files, pliers, saw, bench pin)$250 for 2 full days All levels welcome.

2 day wire weaving workshop with Cindy Moore This is a very popular class. The first morning you will make 2 sample pieces out of copper wire. The if you choose to work with silver and your are satisfied with your work in the morning you can begin a piece that you will complete. The second day you will continue to learn more advanced weaves. Three different endings will be demonstrated. You will choose one of the three to use on your finished piece. Bring your hand tools, bench pin, saw and optivisor. A kit will be provided for your class room use. You may choose to purchase it from the instructor. If you have taken this class previously, bring your kit. $250 for both days, includes practice wire.  |

Cuttle Fish Direct Casting Casting using CUTTLE FISH with Cindy Moore 9am - 4pm Casting Workshop (Cuttle Fish) with Cindy Moore This will be an intensive and creative workshop. Cuttle fish as a mold media is extremely easy to work with because it is so soft. Contempory jewelry makers use the hidden lines and patterns to enhance their creations. Ancient jewelers and some today use cuttle fish to impress and cast smooth surfaces. The objective of this workshop is to explore the cuttle fish as a casting media, cast successfully pieces that can be finished and formed into rings, earrings, bracelets etc. This year one possibility will be on making castings that can be assembled into bracelets. Casting grain will be available for purchase. Items to bring: newspaper, paint brush, Optional items to bring (DO NOT GO OUT AND BUY) shape templates, carving tools. Do bring ideas and finished jewelry to use as guides for ideas and sizes. Bring shapes that you like. These can be paper cut outs, drawings or actual jewelry or objects. Bring some pieces of your jewelry to use as reference of size and thickness. Bring your scrap silver (PMC, wire, sheet, cutlery) to cast. Class Fee: $130.00 includes some materials   |

RAKU and PMC, Learn the art of Raku combined with PMC and make beautiful pendants and beads. These one of a kind pieces will be noticed by everyone.
We will not be starting from scratch. We will use bisque forms that are ready to glaze and refine inside the studio. Then we will fire out of doors for the exciting RAKU firing.
Your kit will include 2 pendants & 4 beads and PMC for embellishment. Use of tools, glazes and firing are also included. Addition pieces will be available for purchase.
Students will need to provide a creative mind, fine paint brushes. Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt and close toed shoes. NO polyester please. You will smell like smoke when you leave so wear old clothes. We will hold this class outside so you might want a sweat shirt. Class Hours: 6:00 to 9:00 PM Class fee: $55
