 Arrow Wire Bracelet, Metal Weaving Technique - Staff Instructor: Leslie Radabugh - using square wire and half round wire.  Use simple tools (flat nose pliers, round nose pliers & hemostat) to construct this intricate bracelet.  This is an Intermediate to advanced wire wrapping projects.

Exploring Fused Glass Workshop -HOT>>>HOT>>HOT  Instructors: Leslie & Nancy - A number of projects have been designed to explore several innovative techniques.  2 full days will be spent exploring many options and techniques that have been brought back to Brighton Beads from national fused glass workshops.  (3-D laying, frit elements, kiln carving with Kaiser Lee Board, working deep, controlling the lines, etc).  Enrollment is limited! No experience is required.  You may want to take this workshop more than once if you do not have your own kiln.  Suggested items that you want to bring: decorative paper punches, decorative scissors, rubber stamps, paint brushes, Open attitude. 
Workshop fee includes materials and firings.

Fused Glass by Leslie  -   Instructor: Leslie Radabaugh - Glass had emerged over the last few years as one of the hottest art forms.  Learn the methods of fusing glass.  Instructor will cover safety and how to design sheets of glass into smooth jewels with a 3-D effect.  Class fee includes all supplies and firing.  Pieces are ideal for rings, pendants or bracelets.

Chain Series  -Thursdays at 6 pm - 8pm  Leslie Radabaugh  Instructor - Construction of chains with open jump rings.  Learn to make your own jump rings.  Jump rings will be available for sale in class. Jump rings are normally available in sterling silver, gold filled and now in beautiful colored rings,  Have fun learning while staying within your budget. Use these chains for bracelets, necklaces or earrings with or without beads or charms.  Master the basic and then learn a variations.   A schedule of the specific chains being taught is available.

Killer Beads - Guest Artist: Cindy Moore for Alabama - Learn one of the hottest techniques in jewelry -- twisted wire beaded jewelry. This is not an original design just very very popular and tricky. Kiln Cast Ornaments - Staff Instructor: Nancy Garber - Learn to sculpt and form interesting shapes by carving fiber board.  Then you choose your glass to fill the form.  Finally it will be fused in the kiln. Make these special ornaments for your own family or for a special gift. This is a new innovative technique learned by Nancy at the last glass convention in Portland, Or.

Lampwork Bead Making - Instructor: Nancy or Paul Garber - This is HOT in America.  Learn safely and creatively to make glass beads with a torch.  Working in an open flame as bead makers have done for centuries, you will melt colored Italian glass rods and wind the glass into beads.  Take home your first beads at the end of class.   click on picture to enlarge

PMC= Precious Metal Clay - TEACHER'S CERTIFICATION COURSE - GUEST Instructor:- This 3-day workshop presents a chance for people to understand the potentials of working with Precious Metal Clay (PMC) through the completions of seven projects in the workshop curriculum.  All materials, a manual, and tool kit are provided to see the students through each project to a successful finish.  Students completing the workshop will receive a certificate that entitles them to purchase all PMC and PMC-related products at a discount from Rio Grande.

It has a very delicate and intriguing look as Beth has designed it. It can be executed in larger beads to offer a slightly different look. This is a very exciting design that is surprisingly easy to do. If you have been curious by the many weaves and techniques done with beads, this would be an excellent entrée into this realm.
